What is Brooks Bereavement Bears?
Brooks’ Bereavement Bears is a non-profit that provides comfort and support to women who have experienced pregnancy loss. Founded by Taylor in 2022, the organization was inspired by her own miscarriage and the desire to offer a meaningful bereavement gift to other women. We donate bears to local hospitals and offer support to friends and loved ones. Thank you for supporting our cause.
Our Why
Welcome to Brooks’ Bereavement Bears, a non-profit dedicated to supporting those affected by pregnancy loss.
In April 2020, I experienced a devastating miscarriage that left me feeling isolated and overwhelmed. The pandemic made it a particularly difficult time, and I struggled to cope with the emotional and physical pain of my loss.
But through the support of friends and loved ones, as well as the comfort of a teddy bear gifted to me during my grief, I was eventually able to find joy and hope again. In the months following my loss, I learned that miscarriage is a common experience and began donating teddy bears to the OBGYN unit where I received care, as a way to offer support and comfort to other women going through a similar experience.
We are a small organization with a big impact, and we rely on the generosity of donors like you to continue our work. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in the lives of those affected by pregnancy loss.
